John 4:1-26, 28-30, 39-42

1. How Jesus saves?
a. He comes to the lowest of the lowest (ver 4-6)
b. He humbled Himself by asking for help (ver 7)
c. He offers you what you need, not what you want (ver 13-15)
2. What did you live on when you didn't know Jesus?
a. Jacob's well and the Gerizim mountain (ver 12, 20)
- the religious traditions, not the personal relationship with God
b. Water (ver 15)
- things that we pursue and we believe we will be satisfied once we have them: fame, high positions, fortune ...

c. Husbands (ver 17-18)
- some one we believe that will love us forever

3. The living water
a. God will give us the Holy Spirit and we will have a new life. (ver 14)
b. We will be satisfied and never seek anything else. (ver 14)
c. To have it we must worship God with spirit and truth. (ver 24)
4. Signs of having a new life:
a. We will boldly face our sinful past (ver 29)
b. We will testify for Jesus (ver 28)
Suggested questions:
Q1: Did Jesus really have to go through Samaria? Did Jesus really have to come to the earth to save us? If not then why did He come?
Q2: The Samaritan woman was lost in sins and she tried to avoid people by getting water at hot noons. And she didn't have any friends to go with her for water neither. Have you ever experienced similar situations?
Q3: Have you tried to seek for something but become thirsty again after having it?
Q4: What is the living water? How does it feel when you have it?
